Did you enjoy S4C's daily coverage from this year's Anglesey National Eisteddfod? What do you think of the latest drama thriller Bang, shown every Sunday night? And would you like to see more entertainment, sports or programmes for young people on the channel?
There's a chance next week for TV viewers in Anglesey to share their thoughts about S4C programmes and other services as the channel hosts a Viewers’ Evening in Llangefni on Thursday 26 October.
Everyone is welcome at the event held at Llangefni Rugby Club at 7.00pm, with a loop services and translation equipment available. Present at the evening will be some of the channel's top officers, including the Authority Chairman, Huw Jones and Chief Executive, Owen Evans.
The Viewers' Evening in Llangefni will be the first for Owen Evans since taking up the role of Chief Executive at the beginning of October.
Owen Evans, S4C Chief Executive says, "I'm very pleased to have the opportunity so early in my time at the channel to go out and meet viewers. Holding the Viewers' Evening is a very important activity for the channel, and as I begin my time at S4C it will give me a wider picture of what viewers want, which is very important to me."
The evening is being held at a crucial time for the channel as S4C comes under review. Called for by the UK Government's Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, the review is chaired by Euryn Ogwen Williams who, along with his review team, will be at the Viewers' Evening on Thursday.
S4C Authority Chairman, Huw Jones, explains, "It's a delight to return to Anglesey following the marvellous week we had at the Eisteddfod this year. We look forward to hearing what the island's viewers have to say about S4C, and also to ask them about what they would like to see on the service in the future. With a review of S4C currently under way, this evening comes at a very important time for the channel and it is of upmost importance that viewers are given an opportunity to be a part of that process."
S4C hosts several Viewers' Evenings annually. During 2017, the channel has visited Carmarthen and met the Welsh-speaking community of Liverpool. A fourth event will be held in Abergavenny in November.
