FAQ's

I can't find a particular programme to watch online. Why isn't it there?

Due to rights restrictions not all of our programmes are available on S4C Clic at present. However there is a selection of some of our most popular programmes available on our S4C Clic service. If you are experiencing technical problems with trying to watch content on Clic, please contact S4C's Viewers' Hotline.

I live abroad and I can't view a particular programme online. Why not?

Worldwide rights restrictions prevent us from making all content available outside the UK. We always try to clear for worldwide viewing but that is not always possible.

Is S4C available on Freeview in the rest of the UK?

To receive S4C outside Wales you can watch it via satellite on Sky 134 (you do not have to subscribe to SKY packages to receive the channel) or through Freesat, Channel 120, or VirginMedia channel 166. You can watch here www.s4c.cymru/clic or downlaod the S4C Clic app.

How do I find out if there are DVD's available of some programmes?

Please contact S4C's Viewers' Hotline.

I have an event or a local story that may be of interest to S4C. How do I get coverage on S4C?

S4C do not produce programmes in-house. Prynhawn Da and Heno on S4C cover local stories which is produced by Tinopolis. You can write to them at the following address Canolfan Tinopolis, Stryd y Parc, Llanelli, Sir Gaerfyrddin, SA15 3YE or phone 01554 880 880 or email info@tinopolis.com.

Is it possible to have a copy of a programme or film shown on S4C?

Unfortunately S4C cannot supply copies of programmes to the public. Programmes which have an educational value are available on the Welsh Government HWB website.

Why is there not English commentary on all rugby / football games shown on S4C?

S4C is keen to offer English language commentary when rights allow. Unfortunately this is not always possible. If you have a question about a particular game please contact gwifren@s4c.cymru
