- Half a pound of damsons
- Quarter pound of sugar
- 1 Litre of gin
- Once you've collected the damsons, you need to cut their skins to let their juices, the flavours and the gin mix together.
- Place in a jar before covering with the sugar and then the gin.
- Shake the jar.
- Shake the jar every now and again, and leave for a couple of months - or up to a year if you can wait that long!
