A spokesperson for S4C said, “S4C looks forward to working with the Government and others to develop plural and sustainable news provision in Wales in the medium and long term. S4C is pleased that its proposal is to be considered as a way forward for news beyond the BBC and that it could form the basis of a pilot project in Wales. As a result of today’s Report, S4C will seek to make progress in discussions with key partners.”
