Rasus to go on

31 January 2012

S4C has announced that it will broadcast 18 hours of live harness racing during the coming season. The Rasus programme, produced by Slam Media, will be based around four days of events, two of which will be from the Tregaron Festival and another two days from two other venues. The programmes will be broadcast in High Definition for the first time and available on S4C’s Clirlun service as well as on S4C’s standard definition channel.

Geraint Rowlands, Director of Commissioning for S4C said “We are aware that rumours have been circulating that the Rasus coverage was coming to an end. This is not true. In fact this year’s coverage will compare favourably with the 19 hours we had planned to show in 2011. The fact that it will be broadcast in HD will ensure that viewers will see and experience the very best of the action from four great locations.”
