A successful night for S4C at the RTS Wales awards

S4C scooped a number of awards at the RTS Cymru awards evening over the weekend.

The winners were announced at a special evening at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Cardiff on Friday 8 April.

Sian Doyle, S4C's Chief Executive, said:

"Many congratulations to production companies Chwarel, Boom Cymru, Wildflame and Tinopolis on their success in the RTS Wales Awards.

"The variety of productions shows the range of S4C's work and the talent of the sector and I am delighted that some of our quality series and talented production teams are being recognised for their work."

S4C's emotional documentary John Owen: Cadw Cyfrinach (Wildflame) scooped the prize in the News and Current Affairs category.

Yn y Garej: Philip Mills (Tinopolis) won the award in the Digital category.

And Rachael Solomon (Boom Cymru) won in the Breakthrough category.

Congratulations also to Chwarel Production Company for winning the prize in the Lockdown category with The Great House Giveaway / Tŷ am Ddim.

This is the fourth award for Chwarel having recently scooped a Broadcast Uk award, BAFTA, RTS and now an RTS Cymru prize.
