Lowri Morgan

Born and bred in Gowerton, Swansea, Lowri attended Ysgol Gynradd Bryn y Môr primary school, Ysgol Gyfun Gŵyr and Ystalyfera Secondary Schools. She graduated in Music - specialising in voice, she's an accomplished soloist as well as being a trained violinist, violist and a pianist. During her youth, she was a member of the National Youth Choir as well as the National Youth Orchestra and travelled with the county orchestra as their soloist singing Welsh folk songs throughout America.

After graduating from Cardiff University, she travelled the world for a year and on her return returned to her musical roots as a music teacher in Ysgol Gyfun Maes yr Yrfa and Ysgol Gyfun Gŵyr for 6 months. However, there came an opportunity to jump in front of the camera and she started her presenting career on S4C's children wraparound Planed Plant and magazine show Uned 5. Later Lowri joined P.O.P.1 television company and she's now well-known as one of the co-presenters of the weekly motorsport programme Ralïo+.

Lowri has loved facing challenges since childhood. Her family often spent their summers on adventure holidays and Lowri and her brother were always encouraged to venture and try their hand at all types of sporting events. Her love of the outdoors has helped her appetite as an adrenaline junkie and her interests include off-piste skiing (Vallée Blanche is one of her favourites), snowboarding, wake-boarding, scuba-diving and much more.

Lowri's biggest claim to fame is that she's one of only 80 people to have dived in to the depths of the ocean to see the wreck of the Titanic, this and the fact that she was listed in the World's Ladies Rugby Dream Team in 1996! Lowri has also run several marathons - her fastest time to date is a creditable 3hrs 8mins - and she has completed Ironman competitions.

However, her biggest challenge was to compete in the toughest foot-race on Earth - a 222km gruelling self-sufficient race through the heart of the Amazon jungle, in Brazil... and all in a week
