Wrexham player-manager, Andy Morrell, was frustrated with the sending off of striker, Danny Wright, during the Dragons’ 2-0 win over Barrow on Saturday.
Wright, who was also sent off in the corresponding fixture at Barrow in September, is likely to be suspended for four matches, which didn’t go down very well with the manager.
“I’m really disappointed. I told him at half time not to get involved, to stay clear of them as they were trying to wind him up,” Morrell told Sgorio.
“He’s going to miss four games now, that’s half of the rest of the season.”
Apart from the sending off, Morrell was happy with his side’s performance against a very physical Barrow side.
“We were a bit flat early on,” he said. “People expect now, after beating Luton and playing the way we did, people expect that to happen every week, but it’s not that easy.”
“They killed the game, they slowed things down, but we were worthy winners in the end.”
On this day in 1994, Mike Smith started his second spell in charge of the Welsh national side.
