Steve Evans is one of the Welsh Premier League most prominent and most succesful players and is the latest inductee into the Hall of Fame.
A solid and strong defender, he joined The New saints in 1999 and was one of the cornerstones of a side which won the league title in 2000.
He led the Saints to the double in 2004/05 as the Oswestry side won the Welsh Premier League and the Welsh Cup and his season was crowned when being chosen as the league’s Player of the Year.
After leading the Saints to another title in 2006, he was signed by Wrexham where he also won 7 international caps for Wales before returning to Park Hall in 2009.
As well as being one of the mainstays of the Saints’ defence, Steve has the ability to score goals ad has netted almost 50 goals in all competitions.
He clinched another championship with the Saints in 2010 before collecting a fourth title and a second double in 2012.
On this day in 1959 Vic Rouse became the first player from the Fourth Division to win an international cap.
