Allan Bickerstaff has this morning parted company with Gap Connah’s Quay.

The first Team Manager, Allan Bickerstaff has this morning parted company with gap Connah’s Quay Nomads.

Having taken over in January last season, he led the team from the relegation zone to a seventh place finish, just missing out on a Europa League Play off Final.

Heavy investment in the summer put a lot of expectation on The Club, and unfortunately, results haven’t been forthcoming this season to date.

First team duties will be run on an interim basis by Jay Catton (current Assistant Manager), assisted by Goalkeeping coach, Neil Ebbrell.

A Club Spokesperson said;

“We are sorry to part company with Allan and wish him every success in the future. Structurally, the new Manager will inherit a strong squad, an excellent feeder Academy, and soon a new 3G training ground, schedule to be completed in November.

The immediate focus has to be on our next two games, tomorrow vs Caernarfon Town in the Word Cup Quarter Final and then on Sunday away at Port Talbot Town.

We hope to have a new appointment in place by the end of October or early in November at the latest.”
