Sgorio’s Welsh Premier League 5-a-side team of the week.

Ashley Morris (Bala Town)
Morris kept a clean sheet against MBi Llandudno – the team with the 3rd best scoring record in the league – by saving a host of the visitors’ chances, including a penalty from in-form striker, Marc Williams.

Matty Owen (Newtown)
Man of the match against Aberystwyth, Matty Owen controlled the midfield throughout and also proved a threat, assisting Neil Mitchell with an intelligent ball for the opener. The victory proved vital with Newtown securing their place in the Top Six for the second Phase of the season.

Damien Allen (Bangor City)
Allen’s wonderful overhead kick earns himself a place in this week’s Five-on-Form and also helping The Citizens to their third win in four games.

Lee Hunt (Bala Town)
Hunt scored 2 against rivals MBi Llandudno in a crucial victory (3-0) that see Bala Town close the gap between themselves and TNS to just 6 points.

Les Davies (Gap Connah’s Quay)
The experienced striker has been on form in Gap Connah’s Quay’s recent revival under new Director of Football, Andy Morrison’s leadership. His 6th goal of the season cemented a 2-0 win for The Nomads and a place in the Top Six – breaking The New Saints unbeaten record in the process!
