Dr. Christian Edwards has taken a step back from managing the first team, but will remain closely involved with the squad as Assistant Manager and Director of Football.

Cardiff Met have managed to secure a place in the Welsh Premier League Top Six in their first season in the top flight.

As they are now strong candidates to qualify for European football they have decided to shuffle the managerial pack to help the club moving forward.

A former striker, nicknamed “The Chief”, Wayne Allison scored 173 goals from 752 appearances in a playing career that saw him wear the colours of Halifax, Watford, Bristol City, Swindon Town, Huddersfield Town, Tranmere, Sheffield United and Chesterfield.

Dr Wayne Allison will take charge of his first match on Friday as the students travel to Maes Tegid to face Bala Town.
