There’s a chance to rest for most WPL clubs this weekend but one game goes ahead on Saturday as the re-arranged fixture between Aberystwyth and Cefn Druids takes place at Park Avenue.

Aberystwyth v Cefn Druids | Saturday – 13:30
Aberystwyth need three points against Cefn Druids for any realistic chance of making the Top Six.

Matthew Bishop’s men are four points behind Carmarthen in the 6th position, but they are 13 goals behind the Old Gold when comparing goal difference.

Which means that a draw against Cefn Druids would leave them three points behind Carmarthen going into the last game before the split, but they would need a miracle to turn around the 13 goal deficit.

Cefn Druids have only won three out of their 20 league games this season (15%) but with a game in hand, Huw Griffiths will hope that his side can climb out of the drop zone before the league split.

The Ancients have lost their last four games and have failed to score in all those games (no WPL goal since November).

Aber will be without midfielder Joe Clarke who has left the club this week, but ex Cefn Druids striker Lee Healey will be available to play after joining the Black & Greens.

Last meeting:
Cefn Druids 0-3 Aberystwyth (16/12/16)
