Sgorio’s live game in the JD Welsh Cup quarter final will be Prestatyn against gap Connah’s Quay on Saturday 25 February with kick off at 17:15 at the Motion Finance Stadium.

Quarter Final
Guilsfield v Bala Town
Llanfair Utd v Caernarfon
Prestatyn v gap Connah’s Quay
The New Saints v Bangor City

The Seasiders’ greatest achievements was a product of their success in the cup as Prestatyn beat Bangor City in the 2012/13 final to lift the trophy for the first time in their history.

The cup win meant they qualified for Europe where they went on to beat Liepājas Metalurgs of Latvia.

After a two year absence, Prestatyn look to be on their way to the Welsh Premier League as they are 16 points clear at the top of the Huws Gray Alliance table and are unbeaten in 23 league games this season.

These two clubs haven’t met since April 2015, which was Prestatyn’s last game in the WPL before their relegation (CQ 3-1 Pres).

Connah’s Quay have also won the trophy once as ‘Connah’s Quay & Shotton’ in 1929 when they beat Cardiff in the final at the Racecourse (3-0).

The Nomads are hoping to reach the semi final for the second consecutive season but were thumped 5-0 by potential winners The New Saints in last year’s semis.

Nomads’ defender Kai Edwards will return to face his hometown, his old cub and his younger brother, Noah Edwards.

Journey so far:
Prestatyn: St Asaph (0-8), Hawarden (1-4), Holyhead Hotspur (2-1 a.e.t), Aberystwyth (1-5)
gap Connah’s Quay: Goytre Utd (3-2), Haverfordwest (1-5)
