For the second consecutive season The New Saints will compete in the semi final of the SPFL Irn Bru Cup. Scott Ruscoe’s men will welcome Dumbarton to Park Hall on the 17/18 of February with TNS hoping for a place in the final for the first time in the club’s history.
The New Saints beat Queen of the South 4-3 on penalties to secure their place in the semi final of the Irn Bru Cup.
Scott Ruscoe’s men will now face Dumbarton, 8th in the Scottish Championship, at Park Hall in the final four of the competition on the 17/18 of February.
Dumbarton have previously beaten Connah’s Quay in the third round of the competition 2-1 after extra time and will now travel to the Welsh Premier League champions.
The New Saints have beaten Livingston (6-5 on pens), Elgin City (4-0) and Queen of the South (4-3 on pens) – all at Park Hall – on their way to the semi final.
In the second semi final, Inverness Caledonian Thistle will face Crusaders of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
