Sgorio picks the five Welsh Premier League players that stood out over the weekend.

Paul Harrison (TNS)
TNS are back on top of the WPL after their win at the Oval, but skipper Paul Harrison had to be at his best between the sticks to keep a clean sheet in front of the 1,345 spectators that turned out on Friday.

Nathan Peate (Cefn Druids)
The Druids are off the mark after a home win against Llandudno and it was Nathan Peate who climbed highest in the box to nod in the winner, to help the Druids climb up from rock bottom.

Nick Rushton (Newtown)
Nick Rushton scored twice in Newtown’s impressive victory against Bala over the weekend to see the Robins move up to 3rd place.

Liam Thomas (Carmarthen)
Carmarthen beat Cardiff Met on Saturday to seal their first win of the season. Liam Thomas scored in the first half, and it was also his shot that came off the bar and landed at the feet of Mael Davies for the Old Gold’s second goal after the interval.

Momodou Touray (Barry Town)
Loanee striker Momodou Touray scored his first Barry goal since arriving from Newport as Barry Town enjoyed an unexpected win against front runners Connah’s Quay.
