Aber will face Connah’s Quay in the JD Welsh Cup final

Connah’s Quay beat Bangor 6-1 in the first semi-final as Aber secured a 1-2 win over Newtown. The Welsh Cup semi final will be played on Sunday the 6th of May, with venue yet to be confirmed.

Declan Walker scored twice as Aberystwyth secured their first Welsh Cup final in four years following their 1-2 win over Newtown.
Aber are still struggling in the league but have performed well in the Welsh Cup this season having beaten Bala Town , Cardiff Met and Carmarthen on their way to the final .

In the first semi-final Connah’s Quay beat Bangor 6-1, with Andy Morrison’s men securing a place in the final of the Welsh Cup for the first time since 1998.

Andy Owens scored a hat trick, with Ryan Wignall, Michael Bakare and Nathan Woolfe also scoring for the Nomads.
