WPL midweek fixtures

The two at the top will play at home in midweek before going head to head live on Sgorio this Saturday night.

Tuesday, 16 October

Connah’s Quay v Cefn Druids | Tuesday – 19:45
Connah’s Quay could open up a five point lead at the WPL summit if they were to beat Cefn Druids on Tuesday night.

The Nomads are on a strong run having won their last six matches (4 WPL, 1 League Cup, 1 Irn Bru).

There’s almost ten years since Cefn Druids’ last victory away at the Deeside Stadium (November 2008).

Wednesday, 17 October

The New Saints v Llandudno | Wednesday – 19:45
After three consecutive defeats, Llandudno travel to Park Hall in search of their first ever win against The New Saints.

It’s been a frustrating start to the season to Iwan Williams’ side who have only won two of their nine league fixtures this season, scoring six goals in total.

The Saints on the other hand have netted 26 times, but following defeats against Connah’s Quay and Cardiff Met, they find themselves in an unfamiliar position in 2nd place.

Llandudno have failed to score on their last three visits to Park Hall, since their 1-1 draw back in August 2015, which was the first meeting between the sides in the WPL.

Highlights will be on the Sgorio website the following day.
