Connah’s Quay suffered a disappointing defeat to Shakhtyor Soligorsk in the Europa League first qualifying round first leg at Rhyl’s Corbett Sports Stadium.
Max Ebong opened the scoring for the visitors after 19 minutes before Albanian international, Elis Bakaj fired home after his initial free kick rebounded back to him. Shakhtyor lead 0-2 before the break.

However, with only two minutes remaining, Callum Morris scores a penalty to give his side a glimmer of hope ahead of the second leg next week in Belarus.
Highlights of the first leg will be on the Sgorio website on Friday, 13 July.
