Sgorio has picked the five JD Cymru Premier players that stood out over the weekend.

Paul Harrison (The New Saints)
Paul Harrison hasn’t been at his best this season but deserves his place in this week’s five-on-form following his performance against Bala. The experienced shot stopper saved Louis Robles’ penalty, securing an important three points for TNS as well as his first league clean sheet since the opening weekend of the season.

Matthew Jones (Aberystwyth)
Matthew Jones scored from the spot in injury time to win a deserved point for Aberystwyth against Connah’s Quay on Friday night. This was his first league goal since his effort against Newtown on the last day of the 2017/18 season.

Alex Fletcher (Newtown)
Alex Fletcher showed incredible vision to pick out Joe Kenton at Latham Park on Friday Night as the attacker scored the only goal of the game against Cardiff Met. The victory meant that the race for a Top Six place is still very much alive with Newtown only two points behind Met in 6th.

Darren Thomas (Caernarfon)
Darren Thomas was at his very best on Saturday afternoon – he found Leo Smith with a perfectly weighted pass for Caernarfon’s first goal, before finding the net to seal a 2-0 victory over Carmarthen. The win meant that the Cofis leapfrogged Bala in the table and are now in fourth position.

Kayne McLaggon (Barry Town)
Another 5-on-form appearance for Kayne McLaggon as Barry’s top scorer added to his growing goal tally from the spot against Airbus. The clinical forward now has seven league goals to his name already this season. Barry’s win meant that they regained top spot and still have a game in hand to play.
