Only four clubs remain in the Nathaniel MG Cup, and one of the sides will reach the final for the first time in their history.
After a change in the rules at the beginning of the season, this year’s winners will secure a place in next year’s Scottish Challenge Cup.
Connah’s Quay v Bala Town | Saturday – 14:30
Connah’s Quay will be hoping to reach the League Cup final for the first time since they won the cup in 1996 – the only time that the Nomads have reached the final of the competition.
Bala Town will take on the Nomads at the Deeside Stadium in the hope of reaching the final and winning the cup for the first time in their history.
Colin Caton’s crew reached the final twice in a row between 2013-15 but lost both games (vs Carmarthen and TNS) and will therefore be hoping to be third time lucky this time around.
It’s fair to say that Andy Morrison will be the most confident manager heading into this match as Bala have only beaten Connah’s Quay once in their last 14 meetings in all competitions.
Connah’s Quay have beaten Rhyl, Guilsfield and Flint to reach the semi-final whilst Bala have beaten Gresford, Bangor and Prestatyn.
The sides have already battled it out in the league this season, Michael Wilde’s header was enough to secure an important victory for the Nomads at Maes Tegid – Bala Town 0-1 Connah’s Quay (30/08/19)
Connah’s Quay knocked Bala out of the cup in the 3rd round last season through an Andy Owens last minute winner at Maes Tegid (Bala 0-1 CQ).
STM Sports v Aberystwyth | Saturday – 14:30

STM Sports stand in their way – a fearless, brave side who are competing in the competition for the first time in their history.
The Cardiff based club will be hoping to emulate Cambrian & Clydach’s success from last year – the JD Cymru South side beat four JD Cymru Premier clubs to reach the League Cup final.
STM Sports have beaten Pontypridd, Cwmbran Celtic, Haverfordwest and Newtown to reach the semi-final whilst Aber have beaten Cambrian & Clydach, Cardiff Met and Carmarthen.
Highlights of the Nathaniel MG Cup semi-final will be shown on Sgorio at 5.30 on Monday evening on S4C.
