The New Saints have been crowned Welsh Premier League champions for the 13th time after a 0-4 victory against Barry Town.
An early Greg Draper goal – his 34th in all competitions – was enough to put Saints in control but two goals in eight minutes from Jamie Mullan and Aeron Edwards sealed the win, with a late Jon Routledge.
Scott Ruscoe’ side were pushed close this year by Connah’s Quay Nomads.
Saints are now on for the double having made the final of the Welsh Cup where they will meet the Nomads on 5 May.
Before then, the Saints welcome Caernarfon to Park Hall in front of the live Sgorio cameras on Saturday where they will be presented with the JD Welsh Premier League trophy.
On this day in 1911 the first ever game was played at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, home of Genoa and Sampdoria.
