Welsh sports stars will be put through their paces at the Carmarthenshire National Eisteddfod this week as S4C holds an event to introduce Clwb, the channel's new Sunday sports programme.
Starting at 10.00am on Friday 8 August, throughout the morning athletes and some S4C sports presenters will be put to the test in various physical and mental challenges.
Among the sporting stars is Lee Williams, one of the Wales Sevens' Team, fresh from competing at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
He will be going up against professional cyclist Gruff Lewis from Aberystwyth, who recently commentated on S4C's Seiclo coverage of Le Tour de France; and champion Rally driver, Osian Pryce of Machynlleth.
Also competing will be Clwb presenter Dylan Ebenezer and reporter on the football show Sgorio Nicky John.
The gang will meet up for a warm up session outside the S4C Pavilion on the Eisteddfod Maes at 10.00am, Friday 8 August, before being led to their five physical challenges:
• Cycle Race against the clock (static bikes) - S4C Pavilion
• 100 metre Sprint Race – The Sports Area
• Rally Car Race (race simulator) – S4C Pavilion
• Scarlets Rugby Challenge – The Sports Area
• Penalty Shoot Out – The Sports Area
Setting the tasks will be Owain Gwynedd, Stwnsh presenter and part time rugby referee, and after completing all the challenges, the gang will re-convene at the S4C Pavilion at 1.00pm to face the hardest challenges of all: one minute of quick fire questions about their individual sports.
And to prove his worth as a presenter of Clwb, Dylan Ebenezer will answer questions on a wide variety of sports which will be covered by the new S4C show – including rugby, football, cycling, rallying and motorsports, running, athletics and many more.
To follow, there's an opportunity to sample what's in store when Clwb opens its door on S4C on Sunday 7 September with the first showing of the promotional video.
And to end things in style, the result of the challenges will be announced. Who will be the Clwb Sports Champion?
