An S4C documentary is set to give fans exclusive backstage access to the Super Furry Animals, as they prepare to perform together for the first time since 2009.
The band's big announcement came on Friday 27 February, and includes five tour dates in early May 2015, the re-release of celebrated album Mwng along with a book as well as the documentary programme for S4C.
The tour marks 20 years since SFA signed with the famous indie record label Creation Records, a move which led to the band's international success.
The comprehensive career spanning S4C documentary will combine exclusive interviews, unseen archive footage, live performances, videos and memories, alongside unique, creative contributions by the SFA band members' themselves. It will be broadcast before the band's first tour date.
S4C Content Commissioner Llion Iwan says; "There was no doubt in my mind that the band's announcement today would cause excitement among SFA's international fan base. After a period of over five years, one of Wales' most successful bands will work together once again, and S4C are very proud to be able to offer fans exclusive access to the journey in this special documentary."
