TV’s Favourite Animal Agony Aunt Launches New Books

18 July 2008

S4C children’s star, Hana the agony aunt duck, launches her new Welsh language books at Borders, The Hayes, Cardiff on Saturday, 19 July, between 2.00pm-3.00pm.

Hana, the star of the BAFTA award-winning pre-school animation Holi Hana, along with her son Francis and Bert the bear, will be meeting youngsters to promote two new Welsh language books, Y Crwban Fach Swil and Yr Hwyaden Fach Oedd Am Ddysgu Nofio.

The books are based on the popular pre-school series about a duck agony aunt and her duckling son, who help young animals who need emotional support. Holi Hana is shown on S4C’s new nursery service, Cyw, with a new, second series due to be broadcast in the autumn.

The launch event will include storytelling from the books and children attending will also receive a goodie bag.

The books, priced £4.99, are available at Borders and from the Welsh Books Council. A range of English language Hana’s Helpline books are also available.
