General Channel Information

S4C holds the unique position of being the only television channel dedicated to serving Wales. It has grown to be a major advertising medium for targeting the population of Wales.

S4C broadcasts on all digital platforms, the content of which is wholly in the Welsh language, with most programmes available with English subtitles and some live sport and events with a choice of commentary in either English or Welsh. S4C broadcasts on all digital platforms throughout Wales and is available throughout the UK on Sky ,Freesat and Virgin. In Wales S4C is available on button 4 a 104 HD on Freeview, 104 on Sky and Freesat, 104 on Virgin and in the remainder of the UK on Sky134 and Freesat 120 and Virgin 164. It is also available online with live streaming and most programmes are available on demand via S4C Clic, BBC iPlayer and other platforms.
