1. The following are terms and conditions for competitions run by Tinopolis' daily programme Heno . By taking part in any of these competitions you agree to be bound by all relevant Terms.
2. If there are differences between these Tinopolis Standard Competition Terms and the individual Competition Notice, the terms of the Competition Notice will prevail.
3. Unless otherwise noted in the Competition Notice, Competitions are organised and promoted by Heno, a programme of Tinopolis, Park Street, Llanelli, SA15 3YE ("Tinopolis") and any queries or complaints about Competitions should be addressed to Tinopolis at the above address.
4. The 'Bocs Dolig' competition shall be run each Tuesday and Thursday on the Heno programme between the 2nd of December 2024 and the 19th of December 2024.
5. Competition entry will open at 7pm on the day before the programme, and close at 3.00pm the following afternoon. Entry is via telephone using the competition line number 08443351244. Contestants are required to answer a multiple choice question set by the show presenter. Contestants will also be required to leave their name and contact telephone number.
6. The winning contestants will be selected at random and called back by a representative of Tinopolis whilst the programme is on air.
7. The winning contestant will be asked live on air to select one of five boxes. Each box will contain a cash prize ranging from £50 to £500.
8. Prizes cannot be exchanged or transferred and there is no cash alternative. Tinopolis reserves the right to substitute the prize or any part of it for a prize of equivalent or greater monetary value and Tinopolis' decision in this regard is final.
9. Tinopolis reserves the right to alter or amend Competitions or the Terms (including eligibility requirements) at its sole discretion with or without prior notice
(i) in the event of any occurrence outside Tinopolis' reasonable control
(ii) to ensure Competitions are run fairly and
(iii) to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidance.
Any cancellation or changes will be then be notified on the relevant Competition Notice.
10. In the case of any dispute regarding the Terms, the prize, the result or any other issue relating to a Competition, Tinopolis' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. Unless otherwise stated in the Competition Notice, Competitions are open to all UK residents and aged 18 or over, except employees of Tinopolis, any of Tinopolis' subsidiary companies, S4C, Pawb Ltd and Spoke Interactive Ltd and any other individuals and companies directly involved with the Competition and their immediate families.
12. Additional eligibility requirements may be set out in the Competition Notice.
13. By entering a Competition you agree, confirm and warrant that:
a)all information provided by you to Tinopolis is correct, current and complete and that you meet all eligibility criteria for the Competition;
b)if you win the Competition, Tinopolis and S4C can use your name and photograph for publicity purposes;
c)Tinopolis and S4C (and any third parties authorised by Tinopolis or S4C) may use the entry across its Services and on any media (including but not limited to third party websites, mobile, television and/or radio). For this purpose, you hereby grant Tinopolis and S4C (and third parties authorised by Tinopolis or S4C) a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty free licence (for the full period of any rights in the entry) to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, make derivative works or podcasts from, edit, alter, store, re-format, use as part of any advertising or sponsorship campaign, sell and sub-licence the entry;
d)your entry and any information submitted by you is personal to you.
14. Tinopolis reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants to take part in a Competition, including the right to request written proof of age of the winner. Tinopolis may disqualify an entrant who refuses or does not supply such information on request and can disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the Terms.
15. Where a Competition is open to all ages, individuals under 16 must have obtained parental consent to take part in the Competition and to receive the prize. Tinopolis reserves the right to verify that such consent has been given before sending the prize to the winner.
16. In the event that a Competition winner is subsequently disqualified from a Competition for any reason, Tinopolis, in its sole discretion, may award the prize to a runner up, selected in accordance with the Competition criteria or re-run the competition on another day.
17. You may only enter a Competition once unless stated otherwise in the Competition Notice. Where it is apparent that an individual has entered a competition multiple times and only one entry is permitted under the Terms, only one of the entrant's entries will be counted in the Competition.
18. Where Tinopolis discovers or has reasonable grounds to suspect that any entrant has used any software or automated process either to answer questions, enter the Competition or to make bulk entries, Tinopolis may exclude such entries and disqualify the entrant from the Competition.
19. All entries must be received via the entry method noted in the relevant promotional material and messages for the Competition. Entries submitted by any other method will not be accepted.
20. Any charges associated with Competition entry methods will be specified in the Competition Notice. General internet connection charges, postage costs and television service provider charges will not be noted in the Competition Notice.
21. Proof of posting, telephone call, online posting or email cannot be accepted as proof of delivery. Tinopolis takes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in any communication method used by entrants, entries that have not been received before the closing date or for the theft, destruction, alteration of or unauthorised access to entries, or entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of server functions, technical issues, virus, bugs or other causes outside Tinopolis' control.
22. If the competition requires entry via a telephone phone-in the competition opening and closing dates and times will be published in the Competition Notice. Competition calls costs 5p in addition to your normal network costs and calls made after the competition lines have closed may still be charged.
23. All calls made will be managed by Tinopolis' 3rd party competition line managers who are PAWB Cyf and Spoke Interactive Ltd. Spoke Interactive will collect and record all telephone numbers entering the competition. After the telephone lines have closed five potential winners will be selected at random from all of the eligible entrants who correctly answered the Competition question. The five random entrants' telephone numbers will be downloaded from Spoke Interactive's online competition portal (Coyote) by PAWB Cyf and emailed directly to the Tinopolis Competition Producer.
24. The first of the five correct entrants will be called in the order they were delivered to Tinopolis by our telephone competition partner. If the first telephone call is answered correctly and the entrant confirmed then they will be the Competition winner and the other four callers details will be destroyed. If an engaged tone is received or the call is not correctly placed, we will retry making the call before moving onto the next supplied number. If the second number called answers correctly and are confirmed as the entrant, they shall be the winner. Should we again receive an engaged tone or the call is not correctly placed then we will again retry this number. If this number goes unanswered or the entrant cannot be confirmed, then Tinopolis will call the third entrant and the process as described above will be repeated until we reach the fifth number supplied. If the final call is answered correctly and the entrant confirmed they will be the Competition winner. If all five calls go unanswered or none of the entrants can be confirmed, then there will be no competition winner and the Competition cancelled for that day.
25. Tinopolis does not accept responsibility for the safekeeping or return of any entries. You should ensure that you retain a copy of your entry for your own records.
26. Prize winners will be notified in the manner and within the time specified on the Competition Notice.
27. Tinopolis will make arrangements with the winner for the winner to receive the prize. Prizes will ordinarily be sent via post. Proof of postage by Tinopolis will constitute proof of delivery.
28. If arrangements for delivery or collection of the prize cannot be made following reasonable attempts by Tinopolis to do so, Tinopolis is entitled to give the prize to a runner up or to use the prize in any future promotion at its absolute discretion.
29. Tinopolis and S4C reserves the right to publish the winner's name and county of residence on the Tinopolis production and S4C websites for 21 days. This information will also be available following the closing date by telephoning Tinopolis on 01554 880880 (calls cost no more than a national rate call to 01 or 02 numbers) or by writing to the Tinopolis production team, Tinopolis, Park Street, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, SA15 3YE, noting the Competition you are enquiring after and including a self-addressed stamped envelope.
30. When you provide an address with your Competition entry, that address will be used to send out any prizes.
31. All taxes, insurances, travel arrangements, spending money and other costs and expenses (including food and personal expenses) are the sole responsibility of the winner unless otherwise stated in the Competition Notice.
32. Tinopolis does not, unless noted in the Competition Notice, claim any rights of ownership in your entry. As such, you retain ownership of your entry and will be able to use it in any way you choose. Tinopolis will be able to use your entry as set out in the Competition Notice, if one has been posted. If Tinopolis are intending to take ownership of your entry, this will be specified in the Competition Notice and you will then be able to choose whether to enter the Competition.
33. Tinopolis does not guarantee to use any entry. Tinopolis may also, in appropriate circumstances, and at its sole discretion, reject, edit, remove or disable access to entries that it considers may be legally or otherwise problematic.
34. Tinopolis excludes any liability to the full extent permitted by law for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant arising from his or her entry into the Competition, or occurring to the winner arising from their acceptance of the prize.
35. Tinopolis is not responsible for any technical issues in relation to any telecommunications or internet network (including in relation to speed or bandwidth), including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's device related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in a Competition.
36. When competitions are run by Tinopolis or S4C using Facebook and/or Instagram (or any other Social Media platform), entrants acknowledge that the competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook and/or Instagram and entrants release Facebook and/or Instagram from any liability arising in connection with them taking part in the competition.
37. As part of entering this competition you understand that we will collect, hold and process personal information relating to you and your competition contribution, in accordance with our privacy notice at as set out here http://www.tinopolis.com/privacy-notice/ . Depending on the nature of the competition this may include sensitive personal data. We will use your personal information for administration, insurance and management purposes of the competition, and to comply with our legal obligations to keep certain records. We may also use your personal information to carry out reasonable background checks (again depending on the nature of the competition) to comply with our regulatory responsibilities and verify the information you provide to us.
38. We will process your personal information in order to fulfil our contractual obligations to you as a competitor, to comply with our legal obligations and where it is necessary in our legitimate interests to do so. Our legitimate interests include ensuring that all competition contributions are suitable for the Programme and that the Programme meets our standards and complies with all our legal obligations.
39. We may make your information available to our advisors, assignees, licensees, regulatory authorities, broadcast partner and others as required by law. We may transfer your personal information outside the European Economic Area where it is necessary for us to do so. If at any time your personal details change during the course of the competition please contact us so that we may update your records.

41. All Competitions and the Terms are subject to the laws of Wales and England and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Wales and England.
