A Million in a Month for S4C

26 September 2016

The video content that S4C makes available via social media sites has been watched over a million times in a month for the first time.

Since implementing new working practises with S4C's social media in October 2015 the number of views for video content on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube has gradually been increasing.

After reaching 737,200 in August, the number of times that video content has been viewed in September 2016 has passed the million mark today; Monday 26 September 2016. The figure continues to climb and is now over 1,004,289.

Gwyn Williams, S4C Director of Communication said; "This amazing increase shows we're placing content that people want to watch on these popular platforms, and that we're successful in attracting people to the material.

"Over the past few months we've had numerous items that have proved very popular. But the one that has broken every record is the Wales football team's message of thanks to the nation after the UEFA Euro 2016 championship last summer, which has been viewed over 180,000 times."
