Top night for S4C at BAFTA Cymru awards

It's been a hugely successful evening for S4C as they won nine prizes at tonight's BAFTA Cymru awards.

Un Bore Mercher/ Keeping Faith (Vox Pictures) won three awards including the Actress award to Eve Myles for her role as Faith Howells, Mathew Hall in the Writer category and Amy Wadge and Laurence Love Greed won the Original Music award.

Bang (Joio) scooped two awards including the TV Drama category and the Editing prize to Dafydd Hunt.

Fly on the wall popular series Y Salon (Boom Cymru) won the Entertainment Programme category and Boom Cymru also scooped the Children's Programme award with kids sports programme Cic.

Also, John Markham won the Sound category award for Band Cymru (Rondo Media) and Stuart Biddlecombe won the Photography and Lighting award with Craith (Severn Screen).

S4C's Content Commissioner Amanda Rees said: "We are delighted to have won nine BAFTA Cymru awards. Once again this year S4C's success is testament to the dedication and creativity of the sector. Talented individuals and production companies are creating content of the highest standard which grabs the imagination of the viewers. Congratulations to everyone who was nominated and who won."
