Soap Star Soccer: Rownd a Rownd v Pobol y Cwm


Forget ‘El Clasico’ – two giants from the world of Welsh soap will be going head-to-head in Newtown to prove once and for all which cast of star actors can perform the best on a football pitch.

To celebrate Wales’ appearance at the UEFA Euro 2016 Championships which begins next month, stars from the two popular soaps have formed mixed teams of men and women to play against each other in Soap Star Soccer: Pobol y Cwm v Rownd a Rownd at Latham Park, on Sunday, 22 May, kick off 3.30pm.

And the public is invited to attend the match free of charge.

A mischievous mechanic joins Rownd a Rownd


Meilir Rhys Williams, originally from Llanuwchllyn plays young mechanic Rhys. Rhys works in the garage alongside his dad, John, who’s going through a bitter divorce with Rhys’ mum. Gwobrau’r Selar (Selar Awards)


We were proud supporters of Gwobrau’r Selar (Selar Award) once again this year. Ceri and Elen went to Aberystwyth to present the awards sponsored by Rownd a Rownd and Rondo. Best LP was awarded to Sŵnami, and Best Solo Artist to Yws Gwynedd. A huge congratulations to all involved. (Thank you Selar/ Celf Calon for the photos)
