Wolfsburg, managed by Dieter Hecking, finished fifth in the Bundesliga and have qualified for the Europa League.
Llion Iwan, S4C Sports and Factual Progammes Commissioner said, "We are delighted to announce that we are showing a live match between one of Wales’ biggest football clubs and a top continental football side. This, along with the recent announcement about S4C’s new Sunday Sports programme Clwb, shows we will strive to broadcast top quality live football coverage whenever rights will allow."
Former Wales and Newcastle forward, Malcolm Allen is really looking forward to this fascinating friendly.
Malcolm Allen says, "Playing Wolfsburg is a huge test for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s new-look side. They need to send a message to the rest of the Championship that they are one of the front-runners for promotion and can bounce back after last season’s disappointing Premier League campaign. They have made some impressive signings, especially up front, but they now need to prove it on the field."
