Y Gwyll/Hinterland nominated for Broadcast Media Awards


Detective drama Y Gwyll/Hinterland has been nominated for an award at the forthcoming Broadcast Media Awards.

The drama has been nominated for 'Best Drama Series or Serial' and for the 'International Sales Award' at the ceremony which will be held for the twentieth time on 4 February 2015 in London.

The Broadcast Media Awards recognise the achievements of productions broadcast across the UK.

The first series of Y Gwyll/Hinterland was produced by Fiction Factory in partnership with S4C, Tinopolis, the S4C co-production fund and All3Media International Ltd,

The series has already won 3 BAFTA Cymru awards this year, and the promotion campaign recently took home a C21 award.

Gwawr Martha Lloyd, S4C's Drama Commissioner said: "I am overjoyed to hear about the nominations.

"They are such strong categories and the standards are so high. It's so encouraging to see Y Gwyll/Hinterland being nominated alongside so many other great productions. I look forward to see who will take home the prizes."
