S4C's Cyw characters to entertain children on Folly Farm this May bank holiday

24/04/2013

On Bank Holiday Monday, 6 May, presenters and characters from S4C's Cyw will host a day of activities for children at Folly Farm, Pembrokeshire.

Cyw is S4C's service for children which is broadcast everyday on the Channel and is also available to watch online at s4c.co.uk/cyw.

Popular Cyw presenters Rachael, Gareth, Einir and Trystan will be performing the Cyw show three times during the day, and the lovable character Dona Direidi will also be on the farm throughout the day to entertain the children.

The little ones are welcome to join in the fun dancing with Dona or they can take part in one of the two Cyw hunts that will be on that day. Cyw's treasure trail and Cyw's card trail will lead children all around the farm and there will be a chance to win great prizes as well.

Garffild Lloyd Lewis, Director of Communications, Marketing and Partnerships at S4C said:

"Children love Cyw, the presenters and the characters, and it's great to be able to host a day like this one which gives Cyw’s fans a chance to join in the fun."

"Cyw is a comprehensive service between the programmes, the Apps and the live twitter feed @TifiaCyw, and days like this are also a great opportunity for people who aren't already familiar with the service to see what Cyw has to offer."

Gareth Delve, one of the Cyw presenters is also looking forward to the day:

"It's always great fun performing live for the children who watch Cyw, and all four of us are really looking forward to this event. Bring the whole family along, we'll be playing games, singing songs and dancing all day, a farm full of fun!"

For information about prices and how to get there visit the Folly Farm website on www.folly-farm.o.uk or visit the Grown-ups section on the Cyw website at s4c.co.uk/cyw.

Folly Farm was voted the Best Family Day Out in Wales by the Wales Tourist Board in 2005 and 2010, and the Cyw crew are sure to double the fun so make sure you head on over. A warm welcome to everyone!
