Eating disorders

There are many people who are affected by eating disorders, which can mean overeating as much as not eating enough. Having a difficult relationship with food can pose a serious health problem, both mentally and physically. More information about different disorders, especially if you think it might be affecting either your life or someone close to you.

    Beat provides information, help and support across the UK for people whose lives are affected by eating disorders. They also have some self-help groups/individual helpers in Wales in Bangor, Swansea, Cardiff and Cardigan.

    The Royal College of Psychiatry website has detailed, up-to-date information available about all types of depression and other mental illness, including symptoms and the best treatment options available.


  • The Mix

    The MIx is a well established website and online community which covers many topics of interest from advice on drugs, alcohol and addiction to sexual health, help with unplanned pregnancy or if you parents are splitting up. Advice also if you've lost someone close. It's full of stories, message boards and comments and advice on everything. Appropriate helpline referrals for each topic are given throughout.
