Gambling

There may be up to around a quarter of a million problem gamblers in Wales and England, and gambling can be as addictive as any substance based addictions. New forms of gambling such as on the internet have also made it easier for people to gamble. If you suspect that you or someone you know may have such an addiction, then there are sources of support to be found below.

  • GamCare

    A very useful website and helpline if you think there may be a problem with gambling. There's a simple self assessment tool that you can use to think about what to do next.

  • Gamblers Anonymous

    Using the same method as Alcoholics Anonymous, the organisation provides help and support locally to those who might have a problem. Details of local groups.
