Llion Iwan, S4C's Chief Content Officer said:

“Robin Evans was like a magician, turning everything he touched into gold. From immensely popular music bands to countless television productions over forty years. Possibly his greatest legacy is the series Rownd a Rownd, which has brought so much enjoyment to generations. 

"Through working with him, I came to know a warm character, always ready to tease with dry humour, and his attention to detail in his productions was of the highest standard. I learned a great deal from him. His courage towards the end was remarkable and typical of his character. Deepest sympathy to his wife Heulwen and their children, Llio and Huw.”
