Bagels
Ingredients
- 300g Greek yoghurt
-
300g flour
-
A pinch of salt
-
Egg
- Seeds
Method
- Preheat the air oven to 175°C.
- The basic recipe only contains flour and Greek yogurt, but you can add a variety of flavorings and herbs, cheese, garlic, or seeds.
- Mix all the ingredients well; use a spoon as the mixture is quite sticky. Use your hands to bring it together into a ball of dough.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it gently with your hands.
- Shape into equal balls, then make a hole through the centre. Make a wide hole, as it tends to close as they rise!
- Preheat the air oven for a few minutes, brush the tray with oil so the dough doesn't stick, then put the bagels in leaving a gap between them.
- Brush with egg wash and add seeds and seasoning if desired.
- Set the air oven on the standard setting at 175°C for 15 minutes. All machines are different, so keep an eye on them.
- Allow them to cool before cutting them, and enjoy them warm with your favorite topping — or you can freeze them to enjoy them another time!
