Strawberry Crumble
Easy
Ingredients
275g plain flour
225g unsalted butter
100g almonds
125g brown sugar
strawberries
Method
Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan.
Mix the flour and almonds, then rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Add the light brown sugar and mix well.
Scoop out ⅔ of the mixture and pour into the bottom of a 20cm square tin, pressing down firmly using the back of a wooden spoon
Cover the mixture with the sliced strawberries.
Spread the rest of the mixture on top, without pressing it down.
Add almonds or nuts to decorate, and bake it in the oven for 45 minutes until it is cooked properly.
Leave to cool in the tin, then cut into pieces.
Serve with fresh yoghurt sweetened with honey.
