Llinos started cooking at a young age but really discovered the joy of baking when she turned 16. She soon became the family's 'unofficial cake maker' and, since then, has formed an obsession with buying and reading cookbooks; while the vegetarian has had some experience of working in professional kitchens over the years, Llinos has mainly taught herself.
Originally from north Wales ('Criccieth to be specific'), she moved from London to Cardiff with her partner Gethin after being made redundant due to the pandemic, and baking is what kept her busy every day in the period that followed. 'Some people like walking, running or doing yoga to relax, but you'll find me in the kitchen with my headphones on!'
Llinos describes herself as 'an 80-year-old stuck in the body of a 30-year-old' thanks to her love of crochet and knitting (she's currently in the middle of making her own cardigan and jumper), but the gin- and coffee-obsessed baker did once abseil down a 63m building for charity ('even though I hate heights!'). If she had to choose a dream job, she'd open her own bakery. Her favourite sweet treat? A Swedish cinnamon bun called Kanelbullar!
Trivia: Llinos has a 16-year-old family dog named Nanw, and she and her partner have just brought home a new pup, Wini - 'we're obsessed'.
