The people of Pontypridd can voice their opinions on S4C's programmes and services at a public event this month.

The channel will hold a Viewers Evening at The University of South Wales' Conference Centre in Treforest on Thursday 20 February at 7.00pm, where members of S4C's management team and staff will take note of viewers' comments.

Would you like to see more programmes for people who live in Rhondda Cynon Taf?

Did you enjoy the recent episode of popular documentary series Cynefin that revealed the town as the birth place of the original James Bond?

Do you like the channels content?

Is the service for learners and the subtitles provision adequate? And are there enough services online?

These are the kind of questions you can ask in an open and frank discussion between you, S4C officers and Authority members.

S4C's Chief Executive, Owen Evans, Creative Content Director, Amanda Rees, Interim Chair, Hugh Hesketh Evans, and the channel's content commissioners will be there to welcome viewers.

Hugh Hesketh Evans, said: "S4C is a public broadcasting service therefore it is vital we listen to viewers.

"We look forward to welcoming the public to the Conference Centre's Main Hall for an open and honest discussion about our programmes and services, and to listen to what viewers would like to see in the future."

S4C staff will seek views on all of its' programmes as well as online channel, Hansh, S4C's on-demand service S4C Clic, and the it's social media platforms.

The evening is free to attend and a simultaneous translation service will be available.
