Top night for S4C at BAFTA Cymru awards

It's been a hugely successful evening for S4C as they won five prizes at tonight's BAFTA Cymru awards.

Celebration were wild in Caernarfon as popular fly on the wall documentary Ysgol Ni: Maesincla (Darlun Productions) won the Best Factual Series award.

Hit children's series Deian a Loli (Cwmni Da) scooped the award for Best Children's Programme

TV personalities Trystan Ellis Morris and Emma Walford won the award for Best Presenter for their work on community entertainment series Prosiect Pum Mil (Boom Cymru)

Cyrn ar y Mississipi (Dearheart Productions) won the Best Entertainment Programme award.

Also, Sion Aaron and Timothy Lyn scooped the Best Factual Director award for their work on heart-warming documentary Eirlys Dementia a Tim (Cwmni Da)

S4C's Director of Content Amanda Rees said: "We are delighted to have won five BAFTA Cymru awards.

"Once again, this year S4C's success is testament to the dedication and creativity of the sector.

"Talented individuals and production companies are creating content of the highest standard that we're extremely proud to commission.

"Congratulations to everyone who was nominated and who won tonight."
