S4C will be following both Cardiff Blues and Ospreys with live coverage of the Welsh regions' progress in the European Challenge Cup this season.

With a different structure to this year's competition, Cardiff Blues and Ospreys are among 14 clubs in the preliminary stage.

S4C will show live coverage of both regions' matches during the preliminary rounds in Welsh, with English commentary available on the red button.

The competition starts on Friday 11 December with the Blues trip to Newcastle Falcons and Ospreys v Castres the following day at the Liberty Stadium.

They will aim to be among the top eight teams from the preliminary rounds who will then proceed to the knockout stages, where they will be joined by eight teams from the Heineken Champions Cup.

Those 16 clubs will then compete in a round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals, before the final in Marseille on 21 May 2021.
