Rownd a Rownd broadcasts throughout the summer for the first time

10 May 2021

S4C has announced that the soap opera Rownd a Rownd will broadcast throughout the summer this year for the first time.

Apart from a break to the schedule for the Urdd's Eisteddfod T and the National Eisteddfod week, Rownd a Rownd will be on S4C throughout the summer months.

Fans of the popular series will also be pleased to hear that Rownd a Rownd will be returning to the screen twice a week from 18 May.

Rownd a Rownd episodes had to be reduced to one episode a week in mid-March as covid restrictions had an impact on the production schedule.

From 18 May the series returns to the screen every Tuesday and Thursday at 8.25 pm.

Amanda Rees, S4C's Director of Content, said:

"Rownd a Rownd is one of the most popular series in our schedule, and it's great news that fans will now be able to enjoy the adventures of the residents of Glanrafon throughout the summer.

"We are also extremely pleased to be back broadcasting two episodes a week to offer our viewers a stable pattern.

"There are many exciting stories in the pipeline that are sure to keep our viewers on their toes! "

Manon Lewis Owen, Producer of Rownd a Rownd, said:

"We are delighted as a crew and cast that Rownd a Rownd will be back to the usual two weekly episodes from Tuesday, May 18 onwards.

"We have appreciated the support of our viewers during the last difficult year and look forward to telling more tales from the get-go with some unexpected events on the horizon."

Rownd a Rownd was first broadcast in 1995 and the series has successfully developed a large number of young actors over the years.

The series is filmed in Menai Bridge and produced by production company Rondo.
