The DEC appeal for Ukraine was broadcast on S4C on Thursday evening and remains available on S4C Clic.

And of course S4C News will broadcast daily and the S4C Digital News service will continue to give prominent and regular updates from Ukraine.

Geraint Evans, S4C's Director of Content said: "The eyes of the world are on Ukraine. It is therefore important that S4C reflects what is happening there, what Welsh and British politicians are doing, and the response to the events amongst communities in Wales. As the situation develops, our programmes will evolve to reflect that as well.

Sanctions

In the wake of the attack on Ukraine, and the international sanctions that have been imposed on Russia, S4C is breaking all ties with Russia.

The channel has asked all companies that sell and license programmes on its behalf to stop any further any further dealings. S4C is also investigating investments by S4C Masnachol (the commercial arm of the channel) to ensure that there is no connection with Russia. In addition the channel encourages all companies that provide it with content to stop any further contact or involvement with Russia.
