S4C won eight awards in the BAFTA ceremony held last night including two for the film Y Sŵn.

Y Sŵn received two awards - for best Feature Film/Television and also Editing: Fiction and Feature Film which went to Kevin Jones.

The evening was hosted by Alex Jones at the ICC Wales arena, Newport.

The awards night was a celebration of talent across film and television in Wales.

The non-fiction series Greenham won two awards for the best Non-fiction Series and for Rhys ap Rhobert for his Editing work.

Y Byd ar Bedwar: Cost Cwpan Y Byd Qatar won the best News, Current Affairs and Topical programme, with Mabinogi-ogi winning the best Children's Programme for the second time.

Huge congratulations to Lisa Jên who won the Presenter category after being nominated for the first time ever for her work on the programme Stori'r Iaith.

The film Gwledd, which will be shown on S4C on Halloween, won the Photography and Lighting: Fiction category.
