YR AMGUEDDFA

A second series of award-nominated Welsh language drama Yr Amgueddfa (The Museum) is set to enchant S4C viewers this Christmas as the action moves out of Cardiff and to West Wales – a land steeped in magic and mystery.

Nia Roberts returns as Della – she has had a secondment from her role as director of a museum in Cardiff after the events of the first series. She now runs a museum in a rural town and is living with her partner Caleb (Steffan Cennydd) in a rambling old house which is totally different from her luxurious house in Cardiff.

But Yr Amgueddfa Series 2 is very much rooted in the dangerous modern world of art crime, a theme that is continued from the first series – and involves the famous Mold Gold Cape – a treasure on display at the British Museum.

The series has been filmed in several well-known locations in West Wales including the National Botanic Garden of Wales in Llanarthne.

The entire series will be released as a box set on 26 December following the broadcast of the first episode.

Boxing Day 26 December, 9.00

But this year there will be a very special present for fans of Pobol y Cwm as two familiar faces return to the Cwm - Dai a Diane Ashurst (Emyr Wyn a Victoria Plucknett).

When Kelly's Christmas day doesn't go to plan, will she regret turning to an old friend for comfort?

A certain gift brings new tensions to the White family and things turn nasty between Eifion and Tyler.

Jason and Kelly try to move on from yesterday's events, but is Kelly hiding something?

Sioned retrieves some of her old toys for Huwi John, but something about this makes Eileen feel uneasy. Bonding over their grief, DJ and Sioned begin to understand each other once again.

Gaynor has had enough of Hywel's laziness and is determined to take matters into her own hands.

We bid farewell to one of the residents of Cwmderi as Eifion (Arwel Davies) leaves under a cloud.

AM DRO SELEBS

The Welsh love nothing more than going for a walk. We are obsessed with the great outdoors – and chatting and eating!

So what happens when four celebrities go for a walk together? Well, all sorts of shenanigans it seems!

In Am Dro: Selebs on Sunday, 26 December on S4C the sport presenter Catrin Heledd; Ifan Pritchard, lead singer of the band Gwilym; actor and musician Dewi Pws and actor Donna Edwards all lead a walk around their local area.

Donna Edwards starts the programme with a walk around Merthyr Tydfyl. The walk begins in Cyfarthfa Castle and goes along the Taf Fechan Nature Trail.

Catrin Heledd comes from the Pentyrch area near Cardiff and she takes her group all the way up to the top of Mynydd y Garth which offers stunning views of Cardiff and the Taff Vale.

We go to Anglesey next and Ifan Pritchard leads a coastal walk at Rhoscolyn.

The programme comes to an end with Dewi Pws taking the group of celebs for a walk around Nefyn on the Llŷn Peninsula.

As she guides us through her favourite recipes, Colleen's family and friends call-in to enjoy the meals, and the preparation.

"When I see someone eating my food and enjoying it, it makes me feel like this is my purpose," said Colleen. "If someone asks for another meal, that's the biggest compliment ".

In the series, she shows how one delicious recipe can lead to several meals to save time and effort.

We also get a taste of the foods Colleen and her family enjoy, how she makes meals to appeal to fussy people or children, meals that avoid waste and how to create food that looks more complex and 'fancy' than they are.
