Communications, Marketing and Research Department

Manon Edwards Ahir is S4C's Director of Communications and Marketing.

She's responsible for a department that covers all promotion of S4C and its content as well as audience engagement with insight and analysis of performance by the Research team. As a member of S4C's Senior Leadership Team, her role is strategic and sets a clear direction via the channel's Communication and Marketing Strategy. She works closely with the Chief Executive and Chief Content Officer to ensure brand visibility and recognition for S4C on every level.

Marketing

Rebecca Griffiths is S4C's Head of Marketing and leads on all the channel's marketing efforts with the aim of promoting S4C and its content to viewers across Wales, the UK and further afield within a digital ecosystem. Rebecca is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Marketing, Brand and Creative teams which includes developing multi-platform campaign and audience strategies. Her teams work closely with the Comms and Digital teams on integrated campaigns to reach audiences as diverse as possible.

Communications

Rhian Adams is S4C's Head of Communications. She leads all the communication work of the channel, coordinating the efforts of the comms team - from forward planning to campaign management, media monitoring and ensuring the quality of all the material produced. Rhian is also responsible for internal and corporate communications as well as managing the Gwifren team who engage with audience members daily.

Audience Research

The Audience Research team is led by Eilir Jones and is responsible for collecting, interpreting and disseminating the latest information about S4C's audience across all its platforms and wider viewing and broadcasting trends.

Our insights are widely used by the Commissioning, Planning, Platforms, Digital, Marketing and Communications teams to create a wide range of content that appeals across diverse audiences, deliver it on the platforms that are most convenient for them, and gather comments and feedback on that content in the most suitable format.
