A reminder of the importance of the approval and delivery dates for content delivered to S4C which have been agreed and specified in your licence/agreement.
These dates are used by the S4C broadcasting system and are fed to different departments in order to organise work schedules, prepare promotional and marketing material, and for external companies that provide access services for our content. It is therefore important that if there are any changes to delivery dates, that you notify us as soon as possible in order to adjust the workflows and ensure that the relevant staff are available to respond and carry out the work on time.
It is also important to ensure that you discuss and agree any changes to approval dates with the Commissioners as soon as possible - and before rearranging your post-production schedule, to ensure that they are available to carry out the work.
Prompt delivery also helps the marketing, digital and communications teams plan their campaigns ahead. When programmes are communicated close to the TX date, there may not be sufficient resources to prepare the campaign at its best.
We ask that you refer all requests for changing approval dates to your Commissioner and cyfleu@s4c.cymru as soon as possible.
We ask that you direct all requests to change the delivery date of a programme to Business Affairs by e-mail (cyfleu@s4c.cymru) at least 20 working days before the original delivery date, with the details below in the request:

• The name of the programme
• Reason for the request
• Has there been a discussion with the commissioning team?
• Current delivery date
• Suggestion of a new delivery date

A member of the Business Affairs team will respond by email within four working days and confirm whether the change of delivery date will be possible or not.

This will ensure that the production company and S4C are clear about when to expect the content to be delivered to S4C and enable us to change other steps where necessary.
If you contact us about delivery late on the day or within a few days of the contractual date it is necessary to inform the Library (allinlibrary@s4c.cymru) and Business Affairs (mb@s4c.cymru) and not the above.
