S4C x TAC: Imagining the Future on 5-6 November

S4C and TAC are pleased to invite you to ‘Imagining the Future’ - a new joint annual conference to set a direction for the production and creation of Welsh language content.  

Date: 5–6 November 2025 
Location: Park Plaza, Cardiff

Join us - together with producers, freelancers and creative workers from all over Wales - to discuss the future of the industry from a Welsh perspective.  

The conference follows the launch of S4C's five-year strategy, More than a TV Channel, and coincides with TAC's Annual General Meeting. With the support of the Welsh Government through Creative Wales, this is an opportunity to share ideas, inspire one other, and work together to make Wales thrive.  

We encourage companies to invite staff at all levels, from new talent to experienced leaders, to take part in the two days of networking, learning and looking towards the future of the industry in Wales.

What can we learn from digital content creators? A social media panel discuss how they attract audiences, and share tips for Welsh-language social content.

A hands-on tour of the TV production chain, highlighting the many different ways AI can be used. When can AI be useful, and where does the technology still have its shortfalls?

Zahra Errami leads an honest chat with a panel of young people about the role of S4C in their lives - what works, what doesn't, and how the channel can continue to be relevant for the next generation.

Based on the Looking Glass report, Marcus Ryder CEO of the Film + TV Charity will put the spotlight on wellbeing in the industry in Wales - and discuss the need to create an inclusive, healthy and sustainable working environment.
