Call for Hansh ideas

S4C is looking for new ideas for content to publish on Hansh. We want content that will inspire, amaze and make you smile. We’re looking for contemporary content in a medium form series that will be published on YouTube Hansh.

We are looking for creative ideas for series of looping videos for YouTube, aimed at young audiences.

The content should focus on creating atmosphere – for example:

  • Dreamscapes
  • Study and concentration videos
  • Soft background music
  • The feeling of “music playing in another room”
  • A sense of Welsh content that is different to what is already available
  • Hansh content - how to interweave Hansh faces and a sense of brand dissemination

The ideas should create an immersive, calm and comfortable watching experience, which helps people to relax, study or concentrate over a long period.

We are open to unique visual and audio ideas that appeal to young digital audiences and are suitable for YouTube.

We are keen to receive any ideas and are open to discussing lengths, but a minimum of four videos are expected to be included as part of the package.

All pitches will need to be in the form of a 'deck slide' including:

  • Strong and clear title – No title, no commission
  • A single line strapline
  • A definite idea of tone and style. Who are your influences? Please provide examples and images / video / moodboard
  • Some information about the key creative team and your document experience / links to previous work
  • When applying, contractual implications on the content that will live unrestricted on YouTube should be considered

Budget

Depending on the content, we are looking at commissioning four videos of original content, five minutes each in length – which will be looped to create four one-hour videos. The value of the package is up to £30,000.

How to submit an idea?

If you are interested, please send your idea to syniad@s4c.cymru by 12:00 on 15/06/26. We will confirm receipt of the idea by email.
